I’ve upgraded to the 5G iPhone 12 mini. AT&T let me have a new one for just under $500. For a 256GB hard drive, I said ‘good enough’ and sent the order.

what will happen to my iPhone 6s? Nothing. Since I still have speakers in my home with a wired connection, my 6S is going to smoothly transition into him iPod Touch.

I haven’t taken it out of the box yet because I know I’ll need to dedicate a 2-hour block of time to obsessing over the Apple phone. Speaking of obsessing.

Apple Event 14 September 2021

Apple is hosting an event Tuesday, September 14th. I’m tuning in because I’ve been ready to upgrade my MacBook pro since 2019. New MacBook rumors are things like Apple dropped the touch bar, brought back the magnetic charging port and connector, and also brought back the SD card slot.

I don’t think very highly of rumors. So, I’ll be watching the show — or at least the MacBook portion of it. The other very important details I care about are the release date and shipping estimate time.

With NSS class going hot and steady, I’ll have to decide between two options:

  • Trade in my 2015 MacBook Pro and use my Windows machine until the new MacBook Pro is delivered
  • Keep my 2015 MacBook Pro without trading it in

With the option to, I could always try to sell the MacBook Pro to a private buyer. That’s an option. It’s likely I will keep it because I rarely touch my windows computer outside of running updates.
