“Hey, Dad, Roses are red. Violets are blue.”
“But aren’t violets purple?”
“No, violets are blue.”
“But Blues are blue. Isn’t violet used for purple?”
We went on to think of roses are red poems: one about going to the movies and another about going to the zoo. Then, I published this with her giant curls in my face.
