Nonspecific Property Management Lament: I’m Over Renting | Sat Mar 19, 2022
Yesterday, I explained to a friend that I’m giving renting after the next 13 more months, then I’m buying. Dealing with property management who avoid operating with common sense is negatively impacting my mental health*.
I’m buying an already built home or I’m buying property to start a new home build.
Yup, I still intend to house hack my first home! I will buy a multifamily home and live in one of the units. I’m not budging on the decision to buy multifamily. 13 months is a goal, but I won’t rush into buying something I don’t want — like a single-family home.

No more landlords
There’s more than a handful of reasons I’m fed up with having to answer to landlords and management offices who consistently fail to operate from a place of common sense.
Also, renting is a major source of stress for me. Renting upsets my frugal nature. I’m very uncomfortable with giving so much money to one thing that gives me so little return.
