About 3 weeks ago, I was making the kids breakfast, and my son grabbed the Simon game and casually beat our top score. He didn’t just beat our record, — a humble 10 beats — he doubled it.
Aiden hit 20 beats while waiting for breakfast. He couldn’t out loud, and I could barely hear him from the kitchen noises. I didn’t stop to ask as he was pushing giant buttons because I wanted him to concentrate and keep going.
I congratulated him with a high-five, but I don’t know if I made as big of a deal about it as I could have. I mean, the little dude went into a zone and spazzed out on the game. He seriously went off.
