My son is really into freestanding handstands right now.

Aiden is going hard at learning them the hard way though — doing freestanding before mastering a good kick-up.

I showed him and Maddalyn the thing that helped me get good at handstand holds and walking: kicking up to a wall. He tried it twice then went back to struggling with wobbly freestanding on the living room floor. 😄😄

He wants to learn things on is own. I respect that. I’m bothered by it sometimes, but I get it. I was that son to my father. It’s karma.
